In the past eight (8) years, the LGBT community in Uganda is coming more closer through networks even though the situation is so harsh.
In 2001, the LGBTI community was so silent which gave Political leaders most The President, YK Museveni the guts of even denying oue existence in Uganda.
Before Dr.Silvia Tamare come out openly supporting LGBTI rights there was Bishop Ssenyonjo both not gay used to fighting for us. Basing on that background GALA-Uganda was formed.
Today, there more than six (6) groups and all are working on issues related to the well being of our community.
